Plaintiff is a prominent actor. Defendant is a Virginia corporation engaged in the production of film dramas. During the transactions which culminated in the present action one Herbert Brenon was president of the defendant corporation. He also held the position of director and producer of pictures. The plaintiff asserts that the defendant corporation entered into a contract with him to render his services for defendant to take the leading part in a film production of “ Faust; ” that the compensation for his services was agreed upon; that defendant defaulted in its agreement, and…
