GLENN A. NORTON, Presiding Judge.
Vincent Greer appeals the judgment entered on his convictions for murder in the first degree, assault in the first degree and two counts of armed criminal action. We affirm.
I. BACKGROUND
One morning shortly after his fifteenth birthday, Greer hid behind a sofa in the basement. When his father came into the room, Greer shot him with a semi-automatic rifle, causing him serious injury.
