JOURNAL ENTRY AND OPINION

{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant Kenneth Owens appeals from his convictions on vehicular assault, failure to comply, drug trafficking, and possession of criminal tools. Of his nine assignments of error, he most strenuously argues that the court erred by denying his motion to suppress and admitting his videotaped statement into evidence, that the state failed to prove the elements of a furthermore clause, that it erroneously admitted victim impact evidence, and that it erred by summarily denying his request for new counsel.
