MEMORANDUM OPINION
DOUMAR, District Judge.
This matter is before the Court on the debtor-appellant Eric Jerome Hardison’s appeal from the March 2, 1982 order of the bankruptcy court lifting the automatic stay of 11 U.S.C. § 362(a). 1 The order appealed from permits the appellee, Mr. Elliott, to proceed against the debtor-appellant in an action for damages for personal injury, which action is currently pending in the Circuit Court of the City of Norfolk, Virginia, notwithstanding the entry of the bankruptcy court’s order of discharge.
