delivered the opinion of the court.

In the Winnebago Circuit Court at the April term, 1897, upon bill filed by the Home Building & Loan Association against Mathilda Landquist, there was rendered a decree foreclosing the mortgage by it held upon the premises of said Mathilda Landquist. Under such decree, the premises, being lot 8 in block 14 of Woodruff’s second addition to-the city of Rockford, in the city of Rockford, county of Winnebago, and State of Illinois, were sold by the master in chancery to said Building & Loan Association for the sum of $1,466.40.
