Plaintiff, Benjamin Hernandez, the independent administrator of the estate of Alma Hernandez, filed a complaint against the defendants, Alexian Brothers Health System, Naphtali Kogan, M.D., and Cardiovascular Associated, S.C., and alleged, inter alia, that the defendants’ negligent acts were the proximate cause of Alma Hernandez’s death on June 6, 2002.
