Plaintiffs, three individuals, filed this bill to restrain the respondent school district of Robinson Township, from levying a tax on “coal mined by the open pit method commonly called the stripping method . . .” within the boundaries of the township. We were informed at the argument that such coal is not otherwise taxed locally or by the Commonwealth. Plaintiffs are lessees of coal lands producing coal by the stripping method in the township.
