— The above action was brought by the plaintiff to recover from the defendant freight charges alleged to be due by the latter on a large number of shipments of wood from various points to the United States Camp, at Gettysburg, Pa. The shipments were in part interstate shipments and in part intrastate shipments. The freight charges alleged to be due and unpaid by the defendant arose out of an application to the various shipments of rates other than the rates under which the original shipments were made and the freight due thereon calculated.
