SESSIONS, District Judge.
This action was brought by the Ohio City Dumber Company and certain insurance companies (plaintiffs) to recover damages for the destruction of the plant of the lumber company by a fire alleged to have been started upon its premises by sparks from a passing engine of the railroad company (defendant). At the time of the fire each of the plaintiff insurance companies carried insurance on some of the property which was destroyed.
