We granted the Defendant Henry A. Edmondson, Jr.’s request for permission to appeal to address an issue of first impression regarding the meaning of the word “possession” as it is used in the carjacking statute. The Defendant accosted the victim in a retail parking lot when she was several yards away from her parked car. He demanded her keys and then drove away in her car.
