I. INTRODUCTION
This lawsuit asserts claims under the federal civil rights statute, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and Massachusetts common law *422against three Springfield police officers and the City of Springfield. In Counts 1 through 3, Plaintiff alleges that the individual Defendant officers violated his federal civil rights by unlawfully entering his home, falsely arresting him, and using excessive force.
