Swarts, on June 1,1889; that he and plaintiff below, the present appellee, were each duly notified, but did not pay said assessment, and neglected to pay the same for the period of thirty days from the date thereof; and that he thereby, under article 6 of the by-laws, ceased to be a member in his lifetime, towit: on July 1, 1889.
