MEMORANDUM OPINION
STAGG, Chief Judge.
I. INTRODUCTION
In this medical malpractice case, the patient entered the hospital on May 8, 1984 through the doors of the Emergency Room; he exited thirty-two days later through the back doors of the morgue. The wife and three major children of that patient have filed this suit against the United States under the Federal Tort Claims Act (“FTCA”), 28 U.S.C. §§ 2671-2680, for the alleged wrongful death of Bennie Ray Garrett, Sr. at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana (“VA”).
