BENNETT, Judge:

At a general court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone, Appellant was convicted, contrary to his pleas, of attempting to commit a lewd act on a person he believed to be a child who had not yet attained the age of 16 years by intentionally communicating indecent language with an intent to arouse or gratify his own sexual desires, in violation of Article 80, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 880.
