Milonas, J.

The issue before us herein is the propriety of the admission into evidence of a videotape prepared exclusively for trial by defendant physician of a surgery performed by him on another patient.

This is an action to recover damages for wrongful death allegedly caused by the negligence and medical malpractice of defendants. The deceased, Rose Glusaskas, then a 46-year-old woman with a history of rheumatic heart disease, was originally referred to defendant Dr. John E. Hutchinson in late 1974.
