The defendant Wright and one Dardin made their promissory note, signed by each of *210them, dated at Apalachicola, (in Florida,) October 11, 1841, whereby they promised to pay on first of May, 1844, to Curtis and Griswold, trustees of the Apalachicola Land Company, in the city of Apalachicola, $800, with interest from date, at the rate of eight per cent per annum.
