The petitioners herein filed their habeas corpus petitions on May 8, 1972, alleging in essence that after being sentenced by the Superior Court of Puerto Rico on August 26, 1970, they have been unduly denied their right to bail pending their appeal to the Supreme Court of *664Puerto Rico as provided for in Rule 198 of the Puerto Rico Rules of Criminal Procedure.
