BURKE, Judge.

Ellis Andrei Diggs appeals his conviction for the intentional murder of Garry Blackwell, see § 13A-6-2(a)(l), Ala. Code 1975, and his resulting sentence, as a habitual felony offender, to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Diggs had previously been convicted of the intentional murder of Blackwell; however, in Diggs v. State, 168 So.3d 156 (Ala.Crim.App.2014) (“Diggs I ”), this Court reversed that conviction because the trial court failed to charge the jury on self-defense.
