Defendant, Ronald Lee Walker, appeals both his conviction for first-degree murder after a jury trial and his sentence of natural-life imprisonment imposed by the circuit court of St. Clair County. We affirm.

On the evening of May 21, 1990, the victim, Henry (Steve) Johnson, and two friends drove to Elinois from Missouri in search of a particular tavern owned by another friend of the victim.
