In this motion by the defendant, pursuant to CPLR 3211 (subd. [a], par. 8), to dismiss the complaint for lack of personal jurisdiction, a novel issue in the interpretation of the New York “long arm” statute, is presented which apparently has never been passed upon by the courts.
