This patent infringement action arises out of the filing of an Abbreviated New Drug Application (“ANDA”) by Navinta, LLC (“Navinta”), a generic drug manufacturer, to market a generic version of an injectable form of the anesthetic Naropin. Naropin is indicated for the production of local or regional anesthesia for surgery and for acute pain management. Plaintiffs, Abraxis Bioscience, Inc.
