DUHÉ, Circuit Judge.

This is a diversity negligence action brought by the estate and family of Willie Robinson against Willis Harris, MTD Products, and Henry Bump. The Robinsons appeal from a judgment denying relief against MTD and Bump. We affirm.

MTD Products employed Henry Bump to operate an eighteen-wheel tractor-trailer rig. On November 2, 1984, Bump was driving the rig over a bridge in the northbound lane of a two-lane portion of U.S. Highway 61 followed by a small white car and a car driven by Paul Battle, III.
