In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for wrongful death, the plaintiff appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Pines, J.), dated March 30, 2006, which granted the defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.

Ordered that the order is affirmed, with costs.

The defendant met his prima facie burden on his motion for summary judgment of establishing that he was not liable for the death of the plaintiffs decedent (see generally GTF Mktg. v Colonial Aluminum Sales, 66 NY2d 965, 967 [1985]; Zuckerman v City of New York, 49 NY2d 557, 562 [1980]). The…
