OPINION

MINZNER, Judge.

Defendant appeals from his convictions for first degree criminal sexual penetration, assault with intent to commit a felony, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He raises the following issues: (1) failure to quash the indictment for" grand jury improprieties; (2) violation of his right to a speedy trial; (3) failure to grant his motion for discovery; (4) failure to grant a mistrial because the jury was not sworn until the second day of trial; (5) prosecutorial misconduct during closing argument; and (6) violation of his right to a public trial.
