MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

RICHARD J. HOLWELL, District Judge.

Pro se petitioner Jai David Ortiz seeks a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, challenging his state court conviction for robbing a husband and wife at gunpoint in August of 1999. After a trial by jury, petitioner was convicted of two counts of Robbery in the First Degree, two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
