*878 ¶ 1 Following a bench trial, defendant, Gerald James, was found guilty of violating section 3 of the Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA) ( 730 ILCS 150/3 (West 2016) ) and sentenced to 42 months' imprisonment. James appeals, arguing that the State failed to present sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that (1) he was required to register under SORA and (2) he established a new residence or temporary domicile in the city of Chicago, requiring registration.
