LOn 14 July 2010, the state charged Percy Molere (“Molere”) with one count of simple burglary and one count of illegal possession of stolen things, violations respectively of La. R.S. 14:62 and La. R.S. 14:69 A. At his 20 July 2010 arraignment, Molere entered a plea of not guilty to the charges. On 28 February 2011, a preliminary hearing was held, and the court heard Molere’s motions to suppress the evidence and identification.
