Defendant, Joseph A. Mazzocchi, appeals from an order of the circuit court of Lake County which denied his motion to vacate a default judgment entered in favor of plaintiff, Stanley Skrypek. Defendant has raised three issues on appeal: (1) whether the default judgment should have been vacated because it was void; (2) whether the default judgment should have been vacated pursuant to section 2 — 1301 of the Code of Civil Procedure (Code) (Ill.
