| Appellee, Rufus Brian Matthews, as special administrator of the estate of Rufus Owens, deceased, and on behalf of the wrongful death beneficiaries of Rufus Owens, brought claims against appellants, Pine Hills Health and Rehabilitation, LLC (“Pine Hills”) and others, 1 for injuries sustained by Owens arising out of his care and treatment at Pine Hills.
