Between 11:30 and 12:00 o’clock on the night of April 22,1934, the plaintiff, Agnes L. Lachenmyer, was driving a Ford coupe in a westerly direction on University avenue, in Champaign, Illinois. Biding as a passenger in the car with her was her sister, Mary E. Lachenmyer. When the Ford coupe reached the neighborhood of the intersection of Fourth street with University avenue, a collision occurred between the Ford coupe and a taxicab owned by the defendant, Walden M.
