Defendant James J. Glidden appeals from a judgment entered in the United States District Court for the District of Vermont convicting him, following his plea of guilty before Franklin S. Billings, Jr., Judge, of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (1994). Glidden was sentenced principally to 70 months’ imprisonment, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
