Dear Ms. Roper:

You have asked a series of questions concerning the "landowner" requirement contained in La.R.S. 33:4727 for a member of a local zoning board of adjustment

Generally, La.R.S. 33:4727 provides that a local legislative body may provide for a local board of adjustment, provide for appointments thereto, and provide for general and specific rules and standards for zoning variances.
