GARDINER, Judge.

Plaintiff, now a sergeant in the Sheriff’s Office of the Parish of Jefferson, was injured as a result of a collision between the motorcycle he was operating and a truck belonging to the Sanitation Department of the parish and driven by its employee Rene A. Chopin. Plaintiff sued defendants, Chopin and the liability insurer of the truck, to recover for personal injuries and special damages caused by the alleged negligence of defendant Chopin.
