The defendant, Eddie Warship, Jr., was indicted for the crime of burglary in the circuit court of Lake County. At that time he was under a sentence of probation for mob action and aggravated battery, offenses of which he had been previously convicted. Following his indictment for burglary, a petition was filed to revoke his probation on the previous charges. On August 20, 1970, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the burglary indictment.
