Prior to August 4, 1938, the Federal public works administration authorized a grant of funds to school district No. 118 of Pacific county for a grade school building project. On that date, at a mass meeting called by the directors of the district, a recommendation was made that this project be abandoned and that an application be made for a new Federal grant to aid in the construction of an addition to the high school building. This recommendation was adopted by the board of directors at a meeting held the following day.. The next meeting was on August 11th, and the minutes recite the action…
