After a 2017 jury trial, Kevin Palmer was acquitted of malice murder but found guilty of felony murder and other offenses in connection with the shooting death of William Whitsett. His amended motion for new trial was denied, and he appeals, asserting as error the denial of his motion to suppress, the exclusion of alleged alibi testimony, and the ineffective assistance of his trial counsel.
