The action is brought to recover $1,555.81, being the purchase price of certain hosiery and’wrappers sold .and delivered by the *386plain tiff'to the defendant. The defendant is a corporation conducting á department store in the city of Mew. York, and the plaintiff is a manufacturer of or dealer in goods of the character described.
