In late 1978 or early 1979 George P. Echols, Jr. began a joint business venture with a corporation (Townco, Inc.). The business involved purchases from Vienna Sausage Mfg. Co. on open account. Eventually a corporation was to be formed, and on November 15, 1979, a certificate was issued by the Secretary of State reserving the name of “ ‘CUPIDS, INC.’ ” (sic) as the name of a proposed domestic corporation.
