MEMORANDUM OPINION 1

JOHN T. FLANNAGAN, Bankruptcy Judge.

Petroleum Production Management, Inc. (“PPMI”) received checks from Northern Natural Gas Company under a gas supply contract. When PPMI entered Chapter 11, it mailed a notice of claims bar date to the Texas address on Northern’s checks. Although the mail handling room at the Texas address routinely forwarded Northern’s mail to its Nebraska office, where proofs of claim were handled, the notice never arrived there.
