A jury convicted the defendant of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and an accompanying school zone offense.1 G. L. c. 94C, §§ 32A & 32J. On appeal, the *837defendant principally argues that the Commonwealth’s evidence at trial was insufficient as matter of law to prove beyond a reasonable doubt he intended to distribute cocaine.2 We agree.
