Plaintiff appeals as of right the trial court’s grant of defendants’ motion for accelerated judgment and the resultant, dismissal of plaintiffs action with prejudice.

Plaintiff first contends that the trial court erred in concluding that the statute of limitations had run with respect to all of plaintiffs claims of defamation, save one. Specifically, plaintiff says that since he alleged fraudulent concealment of a conspiracy to defame him, the trial court should have applied MCL 600.5855; MSA 27A.5855 1 as the appropriate statute of limitations, instead of ruling on the basis of MCL…
