Plaintiff has moved to quash an appeal from judgment entered July 27, 1984, by a district justice. The appeal was filed August 31, 1984, and was beyond the 30-day period established by Pa.R.C.P.D.J. 1002 and 42 Pa.C.S. §5571.

The general rule on this area has stated as follows:
