In April, 1897, in a suit pending in the court from which this appeal is taken, in which the appellee was plaintiff, and the appellant was defendant, the court rendered a decree of *79divorce, and also for alimony, to the plaintiff in a certain sum to be paid by the defendant until the further order of the court.
