STORY, Circuit Justice.

This cause has been here heard upon the merits, the respondents having appeared under a protest to the jurisdiction, and meaning to insist upon that objection, if there should be an appeal to the supreme court, they have filed a general denial, putting the material facts in issue, and thus brought the entire law as well as facts before the court for consideration. Upon the subject of jurisdiction I have no more to say, than that I have seen no reason to change the opinion which I expressed several years since, that originally and of right the jurisdiction did belong to…
