The branch of the Chicago & Alton Railroad Company’s lines running from Peoria to Dwight, and the main line of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Company cross each other in the City of Streator. For convenience those roads will hereinafter be called the Alton and the Santa Fe, respectively. A short distance southwesterly from the Alton, and parallel with it, another railroad, called “ The Three I,” crosses the Santa Fe.
