Upon application by Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation, this Court issued a supervisory writ1 to decide whether the trial court erred in ordering Ortho to further respond to certain interrogatories propounded by plaintiff. Based solely on information contained in Ortho’s writ application, this Court granted the writ. Our primary concern was that the trial court order compelling additional answers, requiring Ortho to pay costs, and possibly subjecting Ortho to an imminent contempt citation for refusing to comply with the trial court’s order, may have been oppressive or…
