OPINION
TIM TAFT, Justice.
In this appeal, appellants, Fort Bend County and Kendleton Independent School District (“the taxing entities”), challenge the trial court’s entry of a declaratory judgment in favor of appellee, Elsie Mar tin-Simon. We determine whether (1) the trial court possessed subject-matter jurisdiction to enter the declaratory judgment; (2) the trial court possessed subject-matter jurisdiction to enter an award for attorney’s fees; (3) appellants had standing to attack the trial court’s award of attorney’s fees directly to the Teltschik Law Firm, Elsie Martin-Simon’s attorneys;…
