The appellee, Harriet Blair Borland, and Frederick W. Crosby, as trustee, filed their bill in this case in the circuit court of Cook county to foreclose a trust deed made by Louise C. Clark and husband, conveying to said trustee a lot with an apartment building thereon, known as “The Cambridge,” to secure a note for $75,000, with six per cent interest. The bill as finally amended sought to hold subsequent owners of the property personally liable for the debt, and charged that the premises were conveyed to Annah B. Peck, who conveyed the same to Thomas B. Bryan, who in turn conveyed them to…
