OPINION
FREEDMAN, District Judge.
The plaintiff, James A. Chute, is the son of James L. Chute and the administrator of his estate. The plaintiff, Helen L. Dotteridge, is the daughter of Harlan Lincoln Matthews and the administratrix of his estate. Both plaintiffs have brought this action to recover for the deaths of their respective fathers as a result of the sinking of the boat AD LIB II on September 30, 1971 in Nantucket Sound. 1 Both decedents had been guests on the AD LIB II, which was owned and operated by Dr. Robert L.
