DUFF, J.
Herman Edward Tickel, Jr., was convicted, in separate trials, of two counts of receiving stolen property in violation of Code § 18.2-108. In accordance with the jury’s recommendation, Tickel was sentenced to two years imprisonment on the first count and five years on the second. On appeal, he contends (1) he was denied due process when the Commonwealth disposed of evidence prior to indictment; (2) the trial court erred in admitting altered documentary evidence; and (3) the trial court erroneously admitted records from the Virginia and Maryland Departments of Motor Vehicles.
